| The Firm was established
in December of 1969. During the initial years, the practice
concentrated on the area of closely-held corporate tax and
personal tax planning, including estate planning, accounting
and tax matters.
As years passed, the area of
audited and unaudited financial statements and the CPA’s
role relating thereto became increasingly more complex. It
was determined that an additional partner was needed. Robert
G. Frohm joined the Firm as a partner on January 1, 1974;
Mr. Frohm was previously an Audit Supervisor with the Port
Huron office of Ernst & Young (formerly Ernst & Ernst). He
brought extensive tax experience to supplement his audit
expertise, which contributed to the growth of the firm.
In October, 1982, R. Thomas
Cummings, manager of the Ernst & Young office in Port Huron
joined the firm as a partner. He brought to the firm 18
years experience in public accounting with a specialization
in tax; he retired January 1, 2002.
To continue quality service
to clients and to further strengthen the leadership team,
Michael T. Kelley joined the Firm on October 2, 2000
followed by William J. Butler on September 1, 2001. Mr.
Kelley contributed not only broad public accounting
knowledge but extensive experience in the banking industry,
which included mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Butler brought
thirteen years of public accounting experience specializing
in tax, in addition to spending several years in the private
sector acquiring in-depth knowledge of managing a closely
held corporation.
On August 1, 2007, Patti Ryan
merged her practice, Ryan and Associates, P.C., to become
Frohm Kelley Butler & Ryan, P.C. Patti brought twenty-seven
years of public accounting and tax experience specializing
in medical practice management with an emphasis on physician
compensation agreements.
In conclusion, the Firm is
well suited with the aforementioned leadership and a highly
skilled staff to provide a wide range of quality services. |
